Crosbie Real Estate Group is excited to welcome Masterpiece Deli to one of our listed locations on 17th and Sherman in Denver! The award-winning delicatessen is planned to open in the Uptown Neighborhood in late summer 2013.
(Denver, Colo.) May 6, 2013 — Touted as one of Denver’s Best Sandwich Shops, Masterpiece Delicatessen announced today it plans to open a second location at the Wells Fargo Center, 1710 Sherman in late summer 2013. Renowned executive chef, Justin Brunson and his partner in Masterpiece Deli LoHi, Steve Allee, have joined forces again to bring the award-winning sandwiches, soups and salads to the Uptown neighborhood.
This will be the fourth venture for Justin who also co-owns Old Major and co-founded DBC with Eric Clayman, one of the founding partners of Udi’s Granola and Gluten Free Foods, who will assist with business strategy and development for the Masterpiece brand. Casey Taylor, chef de cuisine at Masterpiece LoHi and a childhood friend of Justin’s, will be stepping into the role of director of operations for the Masterpiece brand, focusing on openings and operations for all current and future locations.
“We opened Masterpiece Deli LoHi at 1575 Central Street in 2008 as we were looking to create a ‘fine dining between bread’ concept in Colorado,” said Justin Brunson, co-founder of Masterpiece Deli, Old Major and Denver Bacon Company (DBC). “Five years later, the deli continues to produce some of the best sandwiches in town and we knew expanding the brand was the logical next step in the deli’s evolution.”
At 2,609 square feet, Masterpiece Deli Uptown will triple the amount of space available at Masterpiece Deli LoHi to allow for 50 seats indoor and 40 seats outdoor, with a four-season covered and heated patio. The new location will house a fully equipped gas kitchen with ovens and smokers giving Masterpiece the ability to expand its house made meat offerings like: Brisket, Corned Beef, Pastrami, Roast Beef and the pork shoulder for the Cubano sandwich. Masterpiece Deli Uptown will also offer and sell cured and smoked deli meats and products as well as launch a new pastry menu with cookies, pastries and even bacon caramels from the DBC.
In addition, Masterpiece Deli Uptown will provide an extensive corporate catering business with boxed lunches and delivery within a two-mile radius. Like Masterpiece Deli LoHi, Masterpiece Deli Uptown will serve beer, liquor and wine and will also offer a large grab-and-go section for the busy professional. Masterpiece Deli Uptown will initially be open Monday thru Friday for breakfast and lunch from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and plans to offer dinner and weekend brunch in the future.
“We have come a long way since making sandwiches at the Lancer Lounge,” said Steve Allee, co-founder of Masterpiece Deli. “Masterpiece Deli Uptown is the next of many other deli’s we plan to open throughout Colorado within the next 5 years.”
